Got it at the dealers now, Just been told £700. 00 to fix
You don’t give the exact model, but a basic 1.4L 306 that age is worth around £1,700 – more for better models.
If £700 is the dealer price to fix it, you can probably get it done cheaper somewhere else – a local garage or independent Peugeot specialist, for example. Do some shopping around.
It’s obviously a tough cost to face, but so as long as the car is fine in other ways, I would say it’s worth getting it done.

The car is worth around £1500, if there is anything else wrong or soon to go wrong then its not worth fixing. I have a renault in same situation, good car all is going well but a large bill and it will not be worth repairing
